We believe that everyone deserves to explore their cultural potential no matter their economic background, from under fives having their first art experiences, to professional artists at a pivotal point of their career.
Your support enables Yorkshire Contemporary to:
- provide support for local artists as part of our artist development programme;
- run free workshops for families, giving children early opportunities to be creative;
- present free exhibitions by both local and international artists;
- and collaborate with our local communities and partners, giving our neighbours space and support to host their community projects and sessions.
However, with our lease at The Tetley not being renewed, we’re unable to support our charitable mission through commercial activities such as weddings and event hire.
We believe in the importance of contemporary art – and it’s what we’ll continue to champion, support and make happen.
