Join artists Nicola Singh and Sam Metz to explore approaches and formats for group crits that foster both criticality and care.

Crit sessions can be a useful way of developing your practice, by getting feedback on your work and connecting to and critiquing the work of others. They can also be pretty daunting and uncomfortable experiences.

This session also includes practices for group crits that support neurodivergent means of communication.

About

Please wear a mask during this session if you are able to.

Nicola Singh is an artist based in Todmorden, West Yorkshire. Her practice spans solo and collaborative performance, film, sound, installation and drawing. Her approach is rooted in performance and she extends ideas of liveness to her visual art, pedagogic and research practices.

Sam Metz is an artist and curator based in the north of England. They studied Architecture and Critical Theory at University of Nottingham and have previously trained in physical theatre. As a neurodivergent artist with sensory processing differences, Sam creates work in non-verbal ways that begin and end in movement and embodied interactions without recourse to traditionally privileged verbal and written forms of communication.
