‘Tis the season: Join us for a festive feast

It’s beginning to look a lot like, well, Christmas here at The Tetley, as we roll out our new (and extra delicious) menu to cater for all your festive eating needs.

We’re excited to be celebrating the holiday season in style, and what better way to do so than with a carefully crafted menu filled with gourmet treats and seasonal specials? We don’t know either.

Our Christmas menu offers up two options – a traditional sit-down three course affair for smaller groups, and a ‘Hot Fork’ buffet selection for groups of 30 or more. Each plate has been put together by our talented kitchen team, with a blend of classic and contemporary flavours to help every diner step into the Christmas spirit.

The starter selection features a choice of salmon ballotine with celeriac remoulade and rye bread; chicken liver parfait with spice pear pâte de fruit and brioche; and spiced squash risotto with amaretti. Every dish offers a delicate balance of sweet and savoury, pairing the indulgence of the season with earthy flavours to get your meal off to a strong start.

When it comes to mains, the star of the show has to be our turkey ballotine, which comes with all the trimmings – think cranberry and turkey stuffing, parsnip purée, sand carrots, sprouts with chestnuts, and (of course) roast potatoes. But if an alternative Christmas dinner is more up your street, fear not. We’ll be serving up braised ox cheeks with creamy mash, onions and seasonal greens, as well as a vegan mushroom wellington with all the veggie accompaniments of the turkey option.

It wouldn’t be a Christmas dinner without a few good puds to sweeten the deal – and we’re proud to be dishing out some decadent classics in our final course. Whether you’re tucking into black forest gateau with macerated blackberries and blackberry sorbet, port stilton with chutney and crackers, or a good old traditional Christmas pudding with brandy custard – you can never accuse us of half measures when it comes to dessert. So that’s the sit-down meal, available to book now for just £30 per head.

Bigger groups (of more than 30) can get involved with festive eating at The Tetley by choosing our buffet option, coming in at £20 per person. It features help-yourself versions of the turkey ballotine, ox cheeks and mushroom wellington alongside a range of festive accompaniments – from pigs in blankets and classic roasties to parsnips, carrots, sprouts and gravy. On the dessert side of things, you and your party will have a choice between mixed fruit crumble and custard, or a chocolate brownie with ice cream.
