The Tetley’s 2023 exhibitions programme

5 Dec 2022

We’re excited to reveal The Tetley’s 2023 exhibitions line up!

2023 marks our tenth anniversary, and this programme continues our ambitious vision and commitment to supporting artists early in their careers with their first major exhibitions.

Bringing together international artists and artists local to Leeds and the north, the exhibitions feature installation, textiles, drawing, moving image work and more.

Take a look at what we’ve got planned below.

Andrew Black: On Clogger Lane
20 January – 14 May 2023

On Clogger Lane is a new experimental documentary by Andrew Black.

The film meanders through a Yorkshire valley, overshadowed by a monstrous satellite surveillance station, haunted by accusations of witchcraft and populated by the traces of many generations of past inhabitants.

Andrew Black is the recipient of the Margaret Tait Award 2020, a LUX Scotland commission delivered in partnership with Glasgow Film, supported by The National Lottery through Creative Scotland.

Exploring the idea of lostness, Mayanja presents a new body of work in the form of a novella, installations, drawings, a score and moving image work.

The exhibition brings together Mayanja’s poetry and images made whilst travelling around Uganda.
