Rowland Road Play Patch 1st Birthday Party

Come and celebrate one whole year of Rowland Road Play Patch, a community-made play space created for local children.

This once-unused patch of land has become a place for adventure, creativity, play and connection. 

What’s happening?

  • Play activities for all ages
  • Creative workshops
  • Party games and birthday fun
  • Beeston Hill Community Association Craft Fair, full of local stalls and handmade goodness

Rowland Road Play Patch Turns 1!

Practical information:

  • Everyone’s invited! The Play Patch is free to enter for everyone! 
  • Food and refreshments available, or feel free to bring a picnic.
  • This event will be staffed but please stay with your child at all times.

Access: At the Rowland Road Play Patch, we aim to create a space that is inclusive, welcoming and supportive for all.

  • There is free car parking on the premises.
  • Seating: There are multiple seating areas throughout the Play Patch for rest and comfort.
  • Toilets and changing facilities:

-A changing place is available inside the club.

-Accessible toilets are located inside the building and are available during Play Patch opening hours (Saturdays, 11.00am-2.00pm)

Accessibility for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility:

  • Step-free access: The Play Patch is fully step-free, but please note that some areas have slopes, uneven ground and wood chip pathways.
  • Assistance dogs: Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the Play Patch.

Accessibility for autistic visitors, visitors with learning disabilities, and neurodivergent visitors:

  • Sensory backpacks: You can borrow a sensory backpack for the duration of your visit. Each backpack contains ear defenders, fidget toys, puppets and timers. Please ask a volunteer or staff member if you would like to borrow one and return it before you leave. There is no charge for this.
