The Rowland Road Play Patch is a community-built adventure playground created by Rowland Road Working Men’s Club, local volunteers and Yorkshire Contemporary. Together, we have transformed what once was unused land behind the club into a fun, vibrant, place for play and exploration.

An evolving community space in the heart of Beeston Hill, the Play Patch is not a fixed playground with a finished design. It is a living project shaped by the people who use it.

Join us on Saturdays to build, play and plant together — and help make Rowland Road Play Patch special.

What Happens Here?

  • Open-access adventure play
  • Building, den-making and loose parts
  • Gardening and growing
  • Arts and crafts
  • Space to sit, talk and connect
