Play workshops at Beeston Festival

Join artist Emily Binks for this outdoor play workshop at Beeston Festival, perfect for children 5–11.

Construct, stack and build using soft sculptures, responding to the space around us.

Inspired by floor plans and and blueprints, we will draw and trace outlines of the structures we create.

Emily’s artwork explores domestic environments and construction.

Access

  • This event takes place outside in the park
  • This activity will contain some messy play
  • We recommend wearing clothes and shoes that can be easily washed
  • Please wear weather appropriate clothing
  • The activities take place on grass and tarmac

Emily Binks is an artist, creative practitioner and teacher based at the Art House, Wakefield. Binks makes sculptural forms and installations, often examining the notion of ‘home’. Binks enjoys using mixed media including reclaimed, discarded furniture, neon and materials often associated with temporary shelter and construction.
