Sign up for a one to one portfolio review with curators at The Tetley and The Art House.

These reviews are an opportunity for an informal conversation about your practice.

You may want to talk about a specific work, current ideas, themes, influences and materials.

You’re also welcome to ask for feedback about exhibitions or projects you’re working on, or about your aims and goals.

The sessions are part of PANIC! Together, a double-weekend artist development programme with The Art House, Wakefield.

About the curators

Jack James, (he/him), Participation and Engagement Curator, The Tetley
Prior to The Tetley, Jack led Open Plan, South London Gallery’s flagship public art and education programme including Art Block: a space for children to make things, be creative and play. With communities and major institutions including Guggenheim Museum and London Borough of Southwark, he has curated public art, projects and residencies by Barby Asante, Federico Herrero, Céline Condorelli, Tom White, Angelica Tueta, Rumpus Room, Keg de Souza and others. Jack holds a BMus in Popular Music, an MA in Sound Arts and many playground anecdotes.

Bryony Bond, (she/her), Director, The Tetley
Prior to joining The Tetley in 2016, Bryony was Exhibitions Curator at the Whitworth, Manchester where she co-curated major group exhibitions such as We Face Forward: Art From West Africa Today, solo exhibitions including Cai Guo-Quiang and Bedwyr Williams, and collaborations with Artangel, Siobhan Davies Dance and Manchester International Festival. She has also advised National Museums Scotland on a contemporary art strategy and previously worked at Camden Arts Centre, London and A Foundation, Liverpool.

Georgia Taylor Aguilar, (she/her), Exhibition and Artist Development Curator, The Tetley
Prior to her current role, Georgia produced public programmes and residencies at The Tetley. She was an Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Fellow and Cultural Co-Producer with YVAN. After graduating with MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies and BA Fine Art, she co-founded Index Festival and curated Manchester’s first Cosgrove Hall Films exhibition. She has partnered with Professor Griselda Pollock, European Artistic Research Network, Opera North, Focal Point Gallery, CVAN, Helen Storey Foundation and Colombo Biennale.

Damon Jackson-Waldock, Programme Director, The Art House
Damon is a curator, creative producer and arts programmer based in Yorkshire, and joined The Art House team as Programme Director in 2021. Damon’s role is to support and nurture the wide range of creative talent regionally and internationally without barriers and steer exciting exhibitions and residences in The Art House’s gallery spaces and within the community. Damon previously worked as Deputy Curator at Yorkshire Sculpture Park for 11 years and was Creative Producer on the Oak Project between 2020-2021.
